It's been a nice two-year run, but all good things come to an end. Seventh-Element is now closed.

I know many of you guys will be upset about this, and wonder why I didn't decide to hand off the reigns to another admin, or someone from the outside. There was talk, but ultimately the decision was made to close the site rather than let someone else turn SE into something it wasn't. After all the drama lately about "what SE is/was," I'm sure you guys will understand that.

We tried, and we simply ran out of options. A lack of time on the staff's part to drive our writing section and a growing difficulty to draw in new users was a large part of it. We were becoming too much of an albatross. It was only a matter of time.

And so it ends. I'd like to thank each and every one of you guys from the bottom of my heart for making this community what it was, and know the fault of it's failure falls on myself alone. I'm sorry things worked out like this.

For those of you who are interested, I am finally going ahead with my plan to online publish my work. I've set up a new portfolio site at www.spinworkstudios.com and intend to launch Endoflux as a web novel sometime this fall. It will have a forum, and it's possible SE's forum dumps may be used so you guys can use your old accounts and not have to rebuild your posts. No promises, though.

Once again, thanks to all of you. You all made these last two years worth it.
